1975 - Return to Rome

Mother Frances, accompanied by her husband, daughter, and 35 men from Saint Joseph’s Hill of Hope, traveled to Rome in June of 1975. They were joined by Father Sylvio Masanti, who previously had been sent to by the Vatican to investigate Mother Frances and The Miracle of Saint Joseph (see Investigation by the Vatican).

 

In the fall of 1975, Mother Frances and her husband returned to Rome with representatives from Saint Joseph’s Hill of Hope. They attended the Canonization of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton on September 14, 1975. When they attended the Canonization Mass for Saint Oliver Plunkett on October 12, 1975, Mother Frances received Holy Communion from Pope Paul VI.
